Getting started
Your first ten days.
Start gently and build up. Here’s the routine LifetimeVibe recommends for new owners, in plain words.

Week one
Slow and steady.
Use Preset Program 1
For the first week, stick with Program 1 so your body can get used to the motion.
Feet closer together
Start with a narrow stance, then move your feet wider over the first few days as it feels comfortable.
Soft knees
Never lock your knees. Straight-but-soft knees work the most muscles; bent knees cushion the motion.
Drink water
Have about 8 ounces of water before and after each session.
Go easy on high speeds
Keep speeds above 30 to about a minute at first, and add a little time each day.
How to stand
Posture makes the difference.
Stand tall
Feet the same distance from the center line, shoulders back, stomach in. The first few seconds may surprise you; most people settle in quickly.
The pelvic tilt
Tuck your pelvis slightly and gently squeeze your glutes. It brings your abs, quads and glutes into the work, and rotating side to side adds core and balance work.
Sit if you like
Use the seat and support bars any time. With a 6-inch base, someone in a wheelchair can rest their feet on the plate.

Make it a habit
A few minutes, a few times a day.
Short sessions are easy to keep. Many owners use it first thing in the morning, before a walk or a round of golf, and again in the evening. The flip chart has lower-body, core, upper-body, massage and senior-friendly positions to keep it interesting.
Safety first. Whole body vibration is a form of exercise. Talk with your physician before starting, especially if you are pregnant, are managing a medical condition, or have an implant such as a pacemaker. Use it indoors on level ground, always use the seat together with the side support bars, keep children and pets supervised, and don’t add third-party attachments.
See it, stand on it, then decide.
